Out-of-hours emergency calls telephone number - "NHS 24" - 111.
NHS 24 is available weekdays between 18:00 and 08:00 and at weekends. On calling the above number, you will be put through to a nurse advisor who will ask you about your symptoms. They will assess your symptoms and then advise you on what will happen next.
Should you need to see or speak to a doctor, you will be put through to the Primary Care Centre based at the Vale of Leven Hospital and appropriate arrangements will be made for you. This continues to be staffed by many local GP’s who have a high level of commitment to patient care and the provision of a high quality service.

It is essential to telephone NHS 24 on 111 prior to attending the Primary Care Centre.
Patients who are too ill or are unable to come to the Primary Care Centre will be visited at home in the usual way.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Staff Training
The Practice telephone line is closed between 12:30 to 13:30 every day. This is to allow for staff training. If you are calling the surgery during this time, you will hear a recorded message which will give you an alternative telephone number to contact in case of an emergency.
